Corbans’ winemakers craft this range of complex varietal wines from premium Hawke’s Bay fruit to be ideal companions for food.

This wine is a classic Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc, exhibiting distinctive passionfruit and grapefruit characters along with the signature fresh basil characters typical of this single vineyard wine.

Vintage:	2008
Colour:	Pale straw with green highlights
Aromas:	Distinctive passionfruit and grapefruit aromas with hints of fresh basil

Palate:

Highly textured and freshly flavoured, with lime and
grapefruit leading to a crisp mineral finish

This wine may be enjoyed now, but will cellar well for up to three or four years from its year of vintage.

“Corbans Private Bin Hawke’s Bay Syrah 2005 has many of the best elements of syrah from the region. It fills the nose with cherry and violets and the mouth with savoury cherry and berryfruit. Great individually and enough balance to be a recommended match for rich but delicate meat dishes - duck and orange, herbed lamb, even an oily fish. I enjoyed it with a lamb roast and it also went well with the blue cheese and cracker entrée. Versatile and tasty, syrah is the new pinot. Bring it on."
