Corbans winemakers craft this range of complex varietal wines from premium Hawke’s Bay fruit to be ideal companions for food.

This is a delicate, textural wine exhibiting aromas of ripe pear, pineapple and a palate full of classic Hawke’s Bay citrus flavours.

Colour:	Pale straw
Aromas:	A complex array of baked pear and tropical characters with hints of citrus blossom

Palate:

Off-dry and highly textured with luscious pineapple, pear and citrus flavours finishing with hints of spice

This wine may be enjoyed now, but will cellar well for up to three years.

“Corbans Private Bin Hawke’s Bay Syrah 2005 has many of the best elements of syrah from the region. It fills the nose with cherry and violets and the mouth with savoury cherry and berryfruit. Great individually and enough balance to be a recommended match for rich but delicate meat dishes - duck and orange, herbed lamb, even an oily fish. I enjoyed it with a lamb roast and it also went well with the blue cheese and cracker entrée. Versatile and tasty, syrah is the new pinot. Bring it on."
